BAAM and CINCINNATI Success Story from the Department of Energy (DOE)

3D Printed Shebly Cobra at Auto Show

ORNL's newly printed 3D Shelby Cobra was showcased at the 2015 NAIAS in Detroit. This "laboratory on wheels" uses the Shelby Cobra design, celebrating the 50th anniversary of this model and honoring the first vehicle to be voted a national monument.


Strati at IMTS 2014

History was made in front of over 100,000 attendees at IMTS 2014 when Cincinnati Incorporated appeared in it's first trade show in over 60 years and printed the major components of the world's first 3D printed car. In collaboration with partners, Oak Ridge National Labs, The Department of Energy, and Local Motors, Cincinnati Incorporated's BAAM Machine (Big Area Additive Manufacturing) was featured in the AMT - The Association For Manufacturing Technology Emerging Technology Center. 


CI SAAM HT Unveiled at Fabtech 2018

During Fabtech 2018, Cincinnati Incorporated unveiled the new addition to their additive line, SAAM HT. SAAM HT (High Temperature) offers the most affordable solution to fabricate parts in 3D printing’s most advanced thermoplastics and composites. SAAM HT 3D prints in ULTEM, PEEK, polycarbonate, and any thermoplastic up to 500°C.
